Pénombre
J'étais dans une de ces forêts où le soleil n'a pas accès mais où, la nuit, les étoiles pénètrent. Ce lieu n'avait le permis d'exister, que parce que l'inquisition des États l'avait négligé. (...)

E muito melhor que por mim
Portanto quando escrevo versos
É porque isso me diverte
É porque isso me diverte
É porque isso me diverte e cago-vos na tromba

Litania - Eugénio de Andrade
O teu rosto inclinado pelo vento;
a feroz brancura dos teus dentes;
as mãos, de certo modo, irresponsáveis,
e contudo sombrias, e contudo transparentes;
colunas em repouso se anoitece;
o peito raso, claro, feito de água;
a boca sossegada onde apetece
a cor de um fruto, o peso de uma flor;
as palavras mordendo a solidão,
atravessadas de alegria e de terror;
"Please would you tell me", said Alice, a little timidly, for she was not quite sure whether it was good manners for her to speak first, "why your cat grins like that?"
"It's a Cheshire-Cat," said the Duchess, "and that's why. Pig!"
She said the last word with such sudden violence that Alice quite jumped;
but she saw in another moment that it was addressed to the baby, and not to her, so she took courage, and went on again: -
"I didn't know that Cheshire-Cats always grinned; in fact, I didn't know that cats could grin."
"They all can," said the Duchess, "and most of'em do."
